Ragdoll that can walk

Hello.
Recently met with chipmunk and was wondering to ask one question:
how to ceate ragdoll(in my case human) that can walk? Now I have something that looks like zombie, but I need the living human =)
I tried to use just dampedspring without joints, joints and dumpedspring and can not get desired yet..
Tried to google but any good ideas.
May be somebody already has good solution, could you help me?

I've never seen anyone make that work. I think it'd be difficult. An easier alternative is to have the character very simple when it's alive, and then swap it with a ragdoll when it dies. Might work for you, I dunno.
