Resetting scene ?

Hi all !

I'm using Chipmunk for the first time and it's a really nice tool ! I have a little question. Is there any way to reset a space to its original configuration ? In my program, I first set the position of several bodies and shapes belonging to the same space then i step the space in a loop. I would like to reset the space and to get back the original bodies' and shapes' positions back to relauch my simulation in the same configuration. Is there a way to do it ? Will I have problems if I reset manually the positions of the bodies ? How should I do ?
