Thanks!
Very nice of you. Sometimes it happens that the bodies start overlapping and the repulsion force is so big that they disappear within a few timesteps...I guess I could improve that sometime.
I am happy to give something back! If I could I would donate...but for the moment there are only butterflies in my paypal account :D

Hi,

on the topic of documentation. I just made a series of images to describe the different joint types. I was wondering if you would find them useful for fleshing out the documentation around joints. I can probably make other diagrams in a similar style if you like. I have made a temporary page to display them here http://bandcamp.no-ip.org/~jotham/temp/joint_diagrams/.

Those look great, thanks!

I'll see if I have time in the next day or two to add them to the documentation.

Looks really nice.
It would be great to indicate in the drawings the different parameters... wouldn't it?
BTW how do I get the documentation? I tried compiling the ruby folder but I get errors for modules missing and so on...I do not use ruby, is there any other source of updated documentation?

Another question: How do I reference Chipmunk in an academic publication?
Some ideas
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/cup/cgos/basic.html
http://www.public.iastate.edu/~donpayne ... celec.html

I'd probably pick something like:

S. Slembcke, Chipmunk Physics Library, Version XXX, http://wiki.slembcke.net/main/published/Chipmunk

Is that OK?

Thanks,
jotham

I agree about indicating the parameters, but since I just kind of made the diagrams without any solicitation I wasn't sure how far I should go with them. I'm also not sure of the best style to do the annotation in.
