What about Ruby documentation ?

Post by King Kadelfek »

Hello, I'm new to Chipmunk.
I'm looking for a ruby documentation for Chipmunk.

I only found the Gosu / Chipmunk tutorial (and the corresponding sample in the Gosu release) :
http://code.google.com/p/gosu/wiki/Ruby ... ntegration

Does a documentation for Ruby exist ?

Thanks for your answers.

There is a doc_dummy.rb file in the ruby directory to run RDoc on. It should be mostly complete. I haven't used the Ruby extension much in the last year, though I've tried to keep it relatively up to date. Another good option might be to use http://github.com/erisdiscord/chipmunk-ffi instead. Being FFI based it's probably simpler to install. I know he wanted to make the API as compatible as possible.

Thank you for the links ! :D

I found two others :

http://github.com/beoran/chipmunk
http://github.com/shawn42/chipmunk-ffi (a much recent version)

The problem is that I need Chipmunk 5.2 and I don't know how to compile one by myself. Do you know if someone created a new gem since the 4.1.0 version you can install by typing "gem install chipmunk" ?
