iPuck v1.1 on the iPhone / iPod Touch

Post by deansx »

After looking at a long list of physics packages, I settled on Chipmunk as the foundation for iPuck v1.1. The library was easy to integrate, performs exceptionally well and gives excellent results. Further, using the Chipmunk allowed me to add quite a bit of new functionality with relatively little new programming. Chipmunk's outstanding simulation capabilities make the game significantly more realistic, challenging and fun. All in all, a big win. :D
iPuck is a fast paced casual arcade game that's simple to play and extremely engaging. The objective is to score points by getting the puck in the defender's net, while guarding your own goal. The challenge is heightened by the smart defender object, which does its best to put up a fight.
