Hey everybody. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Coppola the creator of Animate2D: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... mate2dlite. I've just recently added physics powered by chipmunk for animating the rag dolls. Initially I was using it to get a quick and dirty IK mechanism but as it's turned out, it wasn't such a dirty trick and will develop into so much more. The app is available on google play as the android release model was more conducive to rapid iterative development. It will be available on iOS soon. All the art work has been updated with exception to the icon and the stability is great having been field tested on android for about 3 months now.

And the game engine I am using is in development of a skeletal system which off loads work on my side to say the least. As part of the project involved making APIs available.

Documentation can be found scattered about my blog here: http://animate2d.blogspot.com

Neat. It's interesting to see what you've been working on. I've kind of wanted to make an editor like this for a while. I wasn't sure what I'd do with it... but it sounded sort of fun to make. I've seen kickstarters for similar editors recently, but not anything that runs on a tablet.

I did make a really *really* simple prototype a few years back. It basically just showed sprites on top of a video and let you move/rotate the sprites. Sort of like rotoscoping I guess. As someone that is definitely non-artistic, I was able to make a mediocre walking animation that way:
