build problem chipmunk.def

I'm using vc++ 2008 and im building the library as a release DLL. it compiles and then i get an error saying chipmunk.def wasn't found. its nowhere in the project directory. The project builds fine in debug and release but it doesnt work with debug dll or release dll. Anyone know how to fix this error? or have the chipmunk.def file?
