Experiencing differences between chipmunk on ios and Android

Has anybody experienced any issues with Chipmunk, on android vs ios? Our game seems to be stable on ios but on android experiencing an intermittent high "bounce" (using cocos2dx 2.0.4). This behavior seems random, and can't reproduce by repeating specific sequence of actions. We believe it could be a lower level issue. We don't have anything other than simple shapes and bodies. Is there anything different physics wise that anybody can think of that might be causing this weird behavior? Thanks in advance..If anybody needs additional information please ask
